Titre | Roberta Carlesimo, Osservazioni testuali e bibliologiche su alcuni rotoli ossirinchiti di Menandro. |
Publication | SEP 20 (2023) pp. 55-68 |
Résumé | By the end of the 18th century, quotations from the indirect tradition, though numerous, were all that remained of Menander, deemed maximus poetarum according to the ancients (Sen. De brev. ii 2). Since then, numerous papyrus fragments containing lines by the author's comedies have been found. Consequently, Menander's comedies have constituted a focal point of scholarly interest over the past century and continue to do so today. Nevertheless, the direct examination of the papyri allows for some advances. |
