Titre | Ágnes T. Mihálykó & Konstantine Panegyres, Two Liturgical Papyri from the Bodleian Library. |
Publication | ArchPF 70 (2024) pp. 317-370, figg. |
Résumé | Publication of two liturgical papyri from the collection of the Bodleian Library, Oxford. - The first papyrus is a large fragment of a double leaf from a codex of the 5th or 6th century with a notably idiosyncratic early redaction of the anaphora of St. Mark. It belongs to and joins with P.Gen. IV, 153 [= LDAB 128549] (re-edited here). 5th or 6th c. - The second papyrus is a small fragment of a single sheet assignable to perhaps the 5th or 6th century, which preserves an independent intercession in the tradition of the Liturgy of St. Mark with some differences from any other attested versions of this intercession. 5th or 6th c.? |

Index | 364 Philosophica |
Titre | Ivanoe Privitera, POxy. 5482: un testo filosofico adespoto sulla natura sociale dell'uomo. |
Publication | Philosophical Papyri. A Journal of Ancient Philosophy and the Papyrological Tradition 2 (2024) pp. 281-282. |
Résumé | P. Oxy. LXXXV, 5482 (= MP3 2614.2; LDAB 957490). Proposes a philosophical and literary contextualisation of an unknown text that compares the life of man in the city to that of the bee in the hive, bringing to mind the famous Aristotelian definition of man as a 'political animal'. The text is difficult to ascribe to one philosophical school rather than another, both owing to the exiguity of the preserved part and the presence of parallel passages about the social nature of man by authors of different philosophical backgrounds. |
