| Résumé | Edition of an Arabic papyrus fragment currently kept at the papyrus collection of the Austrian National Library (provenance unknown). The fragment contains only the name of the Abbasid caliph al-Muqtadir bi-llāh (r. 295-320 / 908-932) and part of the title amīr al-mu’minīn (the commander of the believers). Although too poor to afford any profitable historical discussion, the fragment remains important as it records the name of the caliph al-Muqtadir bi-llāh, whose long reign had unfortunately left very little documentary evidence on papyrus. |

LXXVII, 5105 (= MP3 1984.27; LDAB 140274). - Proposes a reading of the Apotheosis of Poppaea from the perspective of consolatory literature, in particular its rhetorical structure and its specific lexicon. The conclusion is that it is not a consolatio ad Neronem, but an occasional writing: the author (perhaps Leonides of Alexandria, as recently proposed) knows and adapts the rhetorical rules of consolation. |
