Nevertheless, the Ptolemies developed this practice and broadened its scope to encompass nearly all aspects of life during their reign. The process of registering properties was overseen by the state officials through the anagraphai, while individuals were mandated to submit their own declarations, known as apographai. This paper specifically focuses on the property declarations known as apographai. - 1. Movable properties. - 2. Immovable properties.

Titre Nicola Reggiani, Fact and Fiction of "Translators" in the Greek Papyri: Question of Interpretations.
Publication Dedalus [Revista Portuguesa de Literatura Comparada] 26 (2022) pp. 27-47.
Résumé Presents and discusses the double status of translators-interpreters (ἑρμηνεῖς) in Graeco-Roman Egypt through the analysis of their attestations in the papyrological sources. Takes first into consideration their historical role, which went beyond the purely linguistic field that nevertheless was a pivotal function in a multilingual and multicultural country such as Egypt under the Ptolemaic and Roman rule. Then considers their fictional role, which reflected their real function and adapted it to literary translations that were cultural mediations as well.
