Index 364 Hesiodus
Titre Dino De Sanctis, POxy 2481 e le fanciulle in fiore del Catalogo delle donne di Esiodo (fr. 26 M.-W. = fr. 17 H. = fr. 23 Most).
Publication Papyrologica Lupiensia 30-31 (2021-2022) pp. 137-149.
Résumé P. Oxy. XXVIII, 2481 (= MP3 516.4; LDAB 1216) is what remains of a philologically edited volumen, datable to II century, containing verses from Book I of Hesiod's Catalogue of Women. Among the fragments of this papyrus, the section on the daughters of Porthaon, king of Aetolia, reveals a number of elements that fit harmoniously into the style of the authentic Hesiod rather than being an example of a later imitation in terms of both narrative and style.

Publication Papyrologica Lupiensia 30-31 (2021-2022) pp. 191-201.

X, 14 (= MP3 2574.01; LDAB 154370)], which presents more than a few elements of connections with the contents, motifs and lexicon of Epicurus' works, especially with the letters, offers considerable elements to formulate a reasonable assumption about its setting in the literary production of the Epicureans.
