Index bis 141.4 P. Frankf. sans No. d'Inv.
Titre Constantinos Balamoshev, Preparations for the Holy Feast: A Byzantine Letter from Frankfurt.
Publication Aegyptus 104 (2024) pp. 33-46, figg.
Résumé Offers an edition of an (almost complete) unpublished Byzantine letter from the collection of the Faculty of Law of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. A summary of the collection's papyri is given in the introduction as well as a brief history of its creation. The papyrus, lacking an inventory number, probably originates from the broader Herakleopolis area based on a toponym referenced in the text. The letter (VIth cent.) deals with delays in the delivery of wine and other goods intended for use during the so-called "Holy Feast", presumably Easter.
