Il apparaît difficile de situer l'EvTh ailleurs que dans un espace compris entre l'Osrhoène et Antioche, dans lequel grec et syriaque se côtoyaient. |

| Résumé | The "mistakes" in the arithmetical problem of S.B. XXIV, 16038 [= T. Tebt. Inv. 3033] A turn out to be most likely explained not as calculation mistakes but as errors occurred in a copying process, both considered in themselves and in the light of the transmission tendencies that can be detected in the papyrological tradition of this kind of mathematical texts. These errors appear to be strictly analogous or maybe in some way connected with the similar inconsistencies that affect the text of the closest parallel, namely, two loan problems of P. Mich. III, 145, fr. 3, col. vii.1-4 (probl. 1) and 5-7 (probl. 2). |

The papyrus is of special interest, firstly because of its unusual receipt form which requires further investigation, and secondly and primarily, however, because of its exceptional lexicography. |
