Résumé On 11 May 1934 Girolamo Vitelli wrote a small poem in Greek, consisting of five iambic trimeters, which he had dedicated to his nephew Eugenio, called "Etti", for his victory in the 400 meters hurdles at the Littoriali held in Milan on 9 May of 1934.
